October 29, 2009Dear Parents: After a very busy October, we will continue with a very busy November. I would like to highlight some of the dates and activities planned for November. - Our schools will be closed on Thursday, November 5 and Friday, November 6 for New Jersey Teachers' Convention this year. School will also be closed on November 9 in observance of Veteran’s Day.
- The November meeting of the Pittsgrove Elementary PTO will be held on Tueday, November 10 at Norma School starting at 7:00 PM. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
- Friday, November 13 is Olivet School Spirit Day. Students are encouraged to wear green and white or Olivet School Spirit t-shirt/sweatshirts.¬ Don’t forget to place your Market Day order. Pick-up will be Saturday, November 14, 10:30-11:30 at Schalick High School.
- The PTO will be hosting the Scholastic Bookfair on November 16 - 20. There will be a Family Night at the Bookfair on Wednesday, November 18. All profits from the bookfair go directly to our school in the form of library books and other reading materials. Details will be sent home shortly.
- American Education Week is designated for November 16-20. We will have special visitation times during this week. Information will be sent home as we get closer to the week.
- The PTO Fundraiser Pick-up will be on November 21 at Olivet School – DON”T FORGET!!
- School will close early on Wednesday, November 25 and remain closed on November 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving. An early closing schedule will be sent home so you can adjust your schedule to meet the bus schedule changes. Olivet School will dismiss at 1:30 PM.
